Large Yacht Group

The YDSA Large Yacht Group is dedicated to vessels over 24m in length. All of our members have Professional Indemnity insurance and offer specialist surveys for all circumstances: purchase, insurance, damage, re-fits, new builds, stability or charter requirements.

Designers & Surveyors

YDSA Designer members are experienced naval architects and can advise you on all the technical aspects of construction, modification or repair for a wide range of large yacht designs. They are knowledgeable about all types of materials and will liaise with your builder or shipyard of choice to oversee all kinds of work, from small fit-out projects to complete new builds. Many of our Designer members will also undertake expert witness work should the need arise.

The Large Yacht Group surveyor members can provide you with advice when buying, selling or preparing your vessel for coding and charter. Our members are experienced in dealing with complex large yacht systems and have knowledge of which manufacturers can provide the right product to fit your requirements.

Large Yacht Group members are assessed to ensure that they have sufficient experience in these vessels and this is listed under their membership grades on the YDSA website. Your surveyor or designer of choice will have a wealth of expertise, backed-up by a network of fellow marine professionals that together have been setting the standards for over a century.

Independent Sale and Purchase Advice

YDSA Large Yacht Group members are located internationally and can work around the world to assist clients. They can also put you in contact with a global network of independent brokers from ABYA’s Large Yacht Group, providing a link to all the professional skills you will need for the sale and purchase or management of your yacht.
