Come and join two of YDSA’s experienced Coding Surveyors at Lymington Yacht Club for an introduction day about becoming a YDSA - CA surveyor. The day will cover all relevant levels of coding, along with YDSA policy and form requirements to complete and submit a new vessel and mid-term application. There will also be some excellent practical elements in this session, so a comprehensive full-day for you to be able to take this next step in your professional surveying journey.
During the day we will cover the following topics:
A review of what’s current and what’s not on MCA Codes - Yellow, Blue, Brown, MGN280, Sports and Pleasure and WB 1, 2, 3
YDSA Policies and Procedures, Forms, Insurance, and Surveying Processes
The afternoon will include a Practical session on –
Heel test on a RIB, a stepped deck, plus look at freeboards, bulwarks, water freeing and
Mid-Term requirements
The day will conclude with a review and Q&A
