Marketing Description

'Sea Witch' is without a doubt one of the most beautiful little sailing yachts that I have ever seen. Her beauty and style are not skin deep either and when you delve deeper into the construction and materials used you will be delighted and enthused in equal measure. Bearing in mind this is a home built yacht, albeit with some help from a local boatyard, I would say that the owner has missed his vocation and would of given established builders a run for their money. The yacht is in pristine condition and comes with a low hours Beta 10hp inboard, suit of traditional tan sails provided by Arun Sails, double axled, braked Mersea trailer and a sufficient electronic navigation package to let you know what direction you are heading and at what speed.
Due to location, viewings are by prior appointment only.

Mechanical

Machinery is a reliable and economical Beta marine diesel engine. This 2-cylinder, 10hp unit is situated beneath the companionway steps allowing all round access for servicing and daily checks. Fresh water cooled via heat exchanger. Single lever engine control mounted in cockpit adjacent to tiller. TMC40 reduction gearbox driving a stainless steel shaft and bronze 2-bladed propeller. The engine, stern seal was overhauled and serviced in 2025. Fuel is stored in a 35 litre rotomolded tank from Tek Tanks.

Electrical

Simple 12V system on board with single 12V battery fitted with isolator. The battery provides power to the bilge pump, nav lights and instruments. Battery recharged via engine alternator.

Rigging

Gaff rigged sail plan with International Woodskin treated Douglas Fir mast and bowsprit by Collars and owner manufactured booms. All standing rigging is stainless steel and the running rigging is traditional style pre-stretched polyester by Liros. All deck fittings are Tufnell in keeping with the design.
Sails are by Arun and include mainsail, roller furling headsail and staysail. Spars are under cover receiving a smart coat of Woodskin.

Deck is similarly also laminated but finished in Interdeck for grip. 675kg lead keel shoe giving a ballast ratio of 45% making her very stiff and responsive.
